It's been suggested that a photo be required, but I don't think that's fair since not everyone wants or can afford a digital camera.
I've been mulling over some solutions, including the addition of an alternative kudos system (let's call it anti-kudos) based on votes. Basically, each logged landmark would have a "was this entry interesting" type of questionnaire attached, and if you happen to read it you can give it a Yes or a No. It would be entirely subjective, and no doubt someone would find a way to abuse it, but you wouldn't be able to vote for yourself and even if someone persuaded someone else to vote for them, the "no this wasn't a good snarf" votes would bring that figure down.
I'd like to know if you think that would be a good idea, and if so, if you have anything else to add about how you might want something like this to work.
And I'm wondering whether to use hearts, or stars, as the symbol to go with the ratings.
A third leader board could be set up for rating actual landmarks (the one above would be attached to a particular person) so that the best snarfs are highlighted on the site.
What do you think?
